Level 11 is driven to find humanity's common ground through bold, intimate, actor-centric storytelling. We produce visceral and thought-provoking works by contemporary American playwrights, inviting our audience to dive deep and experience a portion of their lives on stage.
Level 11 Theatre started as an idea: A platform to provide artistic opportunities to the vibrant Chicago theatre community. Simple enough, right? After producing the improv variety show Lindsey's Calling, Grant Johnson wanted to bring that sense of camaraderie and creative energy to the theatre to tell compelling stories from established playwrights. He enlisted Brendan Monte as his co-pilot and together, they jump started this vision of theatrical opportunity and produced Suburbia by Eric Bogosian in the summer of 2015.
We strive to be a safe space for performers to grow, discover, and create. We will provide artistic opportunities, education, and community outreach to the city that has given us the chance to create. We look to instill our work ethic and passion for our craft into today's artists and the artists of the future.
